Months after Abbott Nutrition’s largest factory in the U.S. shut down, the Sturgis facility is preparing to reopen after striking a new deal with U.S. health regulators.

The plant could reopen in as soon as two weeks– but even once production starts, it could be another six to eight weeks before that product hits store shelves.

The facility closed down in February after testing found a deadly contaminant in some formula the factory makes. Two babies died after consuming formula made at the Sturgis plant and two others got sick, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
