Potential Market Impact:  The saving grace for the New Zealand market is that the flooding has occurred at the tail end of their milking season with many farmers planning to cease production later this month or in May.  However, this could cause a temporary shortage of milk and end-products made at this plant (protein, milk fat products [AMF/butter]) and potentially shift milk that cannot go to this plant into other streams like whole milk powder.

This is an evolving story and as we know more, we will keep our subscribers abreast of the situation.
