Fonterra Co-operative Group has made minor adjustments to its Global Dairy Trade (GDT) forecast offer quantity over the next 12 months. The primary change is to the Co-operative’s forecast offer volume for Whole Milk Powder (WMP), which has increased by 10,000 MT, or 2.9 % of the 12 month WMP forecast offer volume. The majority of this increase relates to the peak production months of October to January of next season. These changes are well within GDT’s guidance ranges. The changes have been made in response to favourable pricing driving product mix towards WMP and expectations of increased milk collection in the 2017/2018. More WMP will be manufactured across the peak of the season and an appropriate proportion of this increase will be offered through GDT.
