The 2023 trend continues, with European milk growing again in February, UP 1.0% YoY, the sixth consecutive month of gains. German milk flows are almost matching the highs recorded during 2020, building by 2.3% YoY in February ’23, while Italian milk flows surprised the market with 1% growth.

The Netherlands production figures continue to impress, also returning to and eclipsing 2020 levels. Poland also posted notable gains for February, marking a strong start for the year with figures above the previous three years.

On trend, it is the same major producers lagging in February as was recorded in January, with France’s sliding 1%, the third consecutive YoY decrease. Ireland lagged behind the previous season’s mark, but against a tough comparable, with Feb 2023’s figure significantly above 2019 through 2021 figures.
