HighGround Dairy proudly joins the global recognition of International Women’s Day, celebrating the accomplishments of women around the world. As a pioneer in championing women in the dairy industry, HighGround Dairy has been at the forefront of initiatives to empower and support women.
In 2018, HighGround Dairy initiated Women in Dairy, a group aimed at providing community for women in the dairy industry to network and support each other. This initiative was born out of a need to address the underrepresentation of women in dairy conferences, where women accounted for a small fraction of attendees.
So much has changed in the last decade, and we are immensely proud of the progress made by the dairy industry in supporting and uplifting women. Our commitment to gender equality is reflected in our own team, where we officially achieved 50/50 gender ratio. While we are a small company, we believe in the power of our collective voice to effect change. HighGround Dairy is so proud of the amazing women who are integral members of our team. Their talent, dedication, and passion have significantly contributed to our growth and success.
HighGround Dairy continues its mission of building community and supporting women in dairy by sponsoring the annual Women in Dairy event in Chicago during the ADPI/ABI Annual Conference, now organized by Females in Food. Females in Food is a community dedicated to propelling high-achieving women forward in the food and beverage industry by providing connections, resources, and opportunities for growth. Alyssa Badger, the Vice President of Global Operations and Insights of the HighGround Dairy team, serves as the president of this esteemed group.
